Heliamphora, or sun pichers, just might be one of the most attractive carnivorous plants out there! H. minor is the smallest species, with beautiful compact pitchers that color up nicely under adequate lighting. We recommend LED lights instead of fluorescents. Heliamphora like it cool, so we recommend temperatures under 80F. Although this species has relatively small pitchers (no larger than 1.25" opening), we recommend that it only be kept in vivaria where inhabitants are either larger or have no risk of getting caught inside them. As like all other carnivorous plants, good water quality is essential - distilled, RO, DI, or clean rain water only!
