Sphagnum Mix (3 pack)

This mix is a great starter if you grow carnivorous plants and would like three different varieties! The green (Sphagnum sp.) is happy to grow in wet, warm or cool conditions.


Orange: S. fuscum, S. fallax, S. quinquefarium, S. brevifolium, S. austinii etc. Typically under Acutifolia classification though may include Cuspidata.

Red: Species typically offered: (Acutifolia usually) S. russowii, S. warnstorfii, S. subtile, S. bartlettianum, S. rubellum, S. capillifolium, S. magellanicum.

Green: Many different species often included, and we usually include at least two.

Live sphagnum moss is great as a top dressing for carnivorous plants, bog plants, useful for terrariums or vivariums, and much more! This moss is a bog plant, and likes humidity and to be wet nearly all the time.If you're looking for a potting additive for orchids or succulent plants, use this instead.
