Dwarf white isopods (Trichorhina tomentosa) reach about 5 mm length at adulthood and are the best choice for vivariums with high humidity and generally warmer temperatures. They help break down leaf litter, cycling it into useful and more accessible compounds for plants. They also help to mix and aerate the soil as they move around the vivarium.
Care: We culture these on ABG mix with leaf litter on top, oak or live oak works best. They can be supplemented with vegetables, similar to Dubia roaches, however their primary source of food will come from the leaf litter. Keep humid.
